The Ferry

The known history of Renfrew Ferries dates back to the 17th century. This vessel was the last major passenger/vehicle transporter to ply its trade between Yoker and Renfrew, carrying thousands of passengers daily across the River Clyde. Commissioned in 1952 the ferry operated as a carrier for 32 years until the run down of industry and the building of new routes e.g. The Clyde Tunnel and the M8 Kingston Bridge.

We offer a varied programme of entertainment. Specifically concerts, dances and club events. The venue is also available for corporate or private hire. Details of public events are advertised regularly in the Sunday Mail and Glasgow Evening Times.
