Plockton has always been known for its palm trees, but these days it is probably better known as being the location for the filming of the series Hamish MacBeth. A very picturesque village. Plockton was winner of the Best Village for Tourism in 1994. Plockton is near the Kyle of Lochalshe and Skye.
