There are lots of places where you can find tuition for skiing and snowboarding, such as Speyside Sports for the Aviemore area. There are also dry ski ramps, ski and snowboard hire company’s and winter clothing hire. You can pretty much just arrive in Aviemore (book your accommodation first though) and start skiing and snowboarding. If you have never tried these sports before you will probably need to spend money on goggles, hats, gloves, etc., or borrow them before you leave.
The Spey is a triumph of nature, this beautiful and prolific river is set amongst some of Scotland’s finest mountain and forest scenery and is one of the four most well renowned fishing rivers in the world. The Abernethy Angling Improvement Association has six miles of this glorious waterway for its own use.
Fishermen come from all over the world to sample the prime Salmon and Sea Trout fishing available here.

The Salmon and Sea Trout season is from 11th February to 30th September.
The Brown Trout season is from 15th March to 30th September.
