The Wells
Submitted by Owen McCafferty on Sat, 2009-12-05The Monastery Well is a reconstruction of an old well that was unearthed in 1991. It is believed that the main users of the well were the Monks of the Red Friars Monastery of 1271 A.D.
The Old Manse Well lay approximately 20 yards west of the old Manse. Useful as students can see one of the old wells that served the town up until the late 19th century.
