Inchnadamph Lodge

Inchnadamph was a place that I had heard a lot about. Friends of ours go and stay in the Lodge on a regular basis to go hill walking and climbing.

We arrived soaked (again) and were delighted to find out that the Lodge has a drying room where we could hang out our bike gear to dry.

Inchnadamph Lodge is surrounded by the spectacular mountain scenery of Assynt in the Northern Highlands, the Lodge provides quality low-cost accommodation for groups, families and individuals who wish to enjoy, explore, or simply relax in this wonderful environment.

The Lodge is brilliant with a choice of shared bunk rooms or bed and breakfast. Whatever you choose there is a communal dining/kitchen area and lounge with television, a small shop in the main lodge and a proper shop in the grounds which offers microwave meals and alcoholic beverages too!

We stayed in the Bed and Breakfast and found it was really nice. A good shower, tea and coffee facilities in the room, a comfortable bed and under floor central heating. We would stay here again.

The Lodge was awarded a ‘tick’ in the 2008 ‘Scotland the Best’ guidebook – one of only a few rural hostels in Scotland to gain the coveted ‘one of the best of its kind in Scotland’ accolade. Also also have a self-catering Cottage and kitchen that is available on a weekly or daily basis.

Geologists Peach and Horne A short walk from the lodge is the memorial to Peach and Horne. They were the geologists who came back time and time again to learn about the geological structure of the mountain ranges around this area.
