An Inverness event management company has added wedding planning to its list of services after recruiting Janet Reid as a key new member of its team.
Janet, from Nairn, joined Highland Eventz in March after returning to the area from France. She brings 20 years of wedding planning experience to Highland Eventz, which also organises corporate event planning, corporate entertainment, product launches and promotional partnerships.
Janet, a former events manager for the Newton Hotel in Nairn and the New Drumossie Hotel in Inverness, was also involved in the wedding preparations for Take That singer Mark Owen.
She said: “I love organising weddings. You get to know the couple and their families and you are there for them from your first introduction right up until the day they tie the knot.”
Janet understands that each wedding is special and that couples will want the occasion suited uniquely to them. In the initial consultation she spends time getting to know their likes and dislikes, and how they imagine their perfect wedding to be.
She then puts together a wedding folder with ideas tailored to build a wedding package to suit requirements and budget of the bride and groom, ensuring they get exactly what they want.
“I can be involved as much or as little as the couple want,” Janet explained. “Some may want me to make all the arrangements or just help with some of the preparation, while others may only want me involved in the final stages to oversee the checklist and confirm the details.”
She added: “The advantage of my hotel experience is that I can go to the venue prior to the wedding day and check everything is in place as planned.”
With Janet’s involvement in organising the big day, couples can look forward to a stress-free wedding of their dreams. Janet plans weddings and civil partnerships of all sizes and in any location across the north of Scotland and the islands.
