Eileen Ardern B.Ed specialises in the provision of library and environmental studies topic books and in Book Sales in primary schools. She is herself a qualified primary teacher, and children's books have been a life-long interest. Her knowledge is at your service.

Working together it is normally possible not to incur any delivery charges on orders, though single copy orders are usually posted free but without discount. Otherwise I deliver most orders, or make arrangements to hand them over to a teacher visiting Inverness or Dingwall on a course or shopping.

Library books, topic kits, prize books, reading sets, thesauri, atlases, books on tape, teacher's photocopiable books and books for learning support can all be provided exactly to your requirements. Lists can be prepared of what is currently available, or a relevant selection brought to your school for you to make your choice. Paperbacks can be supplied with plastic covers- the small additional cost providing years of extra life for the books. (From 20p, priced according to the height of the book).

You can have a well-chosen Bookshop in your school with books for children up to the age of 12, and for teachers. Books can be left for several days if you are prepared to organise the staffing when parents and/or children visit the 'shop'. Otherwise the books can be brought for an appropriate length of time to allow everyone adequate time to browse, and the sales will be taken care of for you. 10% of the value of the total sale will be returned to the school as books of your choice.

Book sales are mainly of paperbacks -remember to check the current price range when making a booking. Books are arranged in sections, covering nursery books, picture books, fiction for new readers, novels, ladybirds, activity books, books and tapes, and a wide range of non fiction sorted by subject. Books by Scottish writers, and books of Scottish interest are always included. The latest teacher's photocopiable books are also supplied.
