Kinnemond Cottage

Welcome to this cottage guest wing, situated in the crofting community of Colbost in NW Skye, with its superb panoramic views along Loch Dunvegan stretching southward to the Cuillin mountain range, northward to the Isle of Harris and eastward across the loch to Dunvegan castle and beyond

The guest wing is self-contained and consists of five rooms, on two floors, four of which have views of the sea. Although a modern building it has a cosy comfortable ambiance and an open fireplace as well as ample electric and central heating

The cottage is nicely secluded but not isolated. Dunvegan village with its shops, hotels, restaurants and filling stations is 5 miles away while Glendale at 2.5 miles has a post office, shop and a café/restaurant. Portree is a 35 to 40 minute drive and has a wider range of facilities including a library, swimming pool and cinema

Kinnemond Cottage offers comfort and tranquillity for a memorable holiday in an outstanding location

The guest wing has its own entrance from the large garden and has two bedrooms, each with en suite shower room, a living room, kitchen, TV room and a bathroom. It is suitable for a maximum of 4 people and is popular with those wishing to be within walking distance of the famous Three Chimneys restaurant

We take a maximum of four guests but in addition to the double bedroom and twin bedroom there is a sofabed if 4 singles should be required. Each bedroom has its own television and plenty of storage space. The living room has a dining area and easy chairs, a library and the added luxury of an open fireplace. There is also central heating in all rooms for the colder months, heated towel rails and electric convector heaters to be used as required. The kitchen has a gas cooker and hob, microwave, washing machine with dryer, refrigerator and all the usual cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The TV room has an LCD TV with Freeview and a DVD player

The garden with its stream, ponds, flower beds and lawn is there for guests to enjoy and garden furniture is provided. There are binoculars and a telescope for watching wildlife from the picture window in the living room and maps, books of walks and local information leaflets for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits and sightseeing.
