Location:
Situated in beautiful Perthshire countryside overlooking Loch Marlee, this friendly accommodation is conveniently located approximately three miles from Blairgowrie. Uninterrupted views of the Grampian Mountains and the Sidlaw Hills can be enjoyed from the large secluded garden. If you arrive between 3 and 5 p.m. you will be welcomed with a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of home made Dundee cake.
Accommodation:
Ridgeway provides two double bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities and both decorated to an extremely high standard. One room has a king size bed and the other has two comfortable single beds. Guests can roam the garden or sit at the tables and chairs outside.
Access:
The entire property is on one floor. A portable ramp is available to the front door and the corridors and doorways give ample room for wheelchair access. Also available for those who need it are grab rails by the toilet and in the shower, a shower seat, raised toilet seat and it is possible to raise the bed.
The area:
The area offers many pastimes. There are 60 golf courses within an hour’s drive of Blairgowrie, including Blairgowrie Golf Course, Dunkeld and Birnam Golf Course, Alyth Golf Course, St. Andrews and Carnoustie. Castles to visit include Glamis Castle, Blair Castle and Scone Palace. There are many gardens to visit, notably Glendoick which specialises in rhododendrons and azaleas. For those interested, there is a whisky trail to follow. There are walks galore, munros to be bagged and hills to be climbed. Also an abundance of birds to be studied and fish to be caught in the local rivers.

Weather:
The weather is much better than the weather forecasters on the TV would have you believe. We are sheltered from the weather from the west by the Grampian Mountains and receive 50% less rain than on the west coast, which makes this area ideal for growing strawberries and raspberries.
Tariff:
The cost of bed and breakfast in this quiet and peaceful home is £30 per person per night. A discount is available for a stay of three nights or longer provided payment is made by cash or cheque, i.e. payment through a third party taking commission or by credit/debit card does not qualify for the discount.
