The Beach House is literally on the beach at Spey Bay situated in the middle of the bay with Buckie and Portgordon to the east and Lossiemouth to the west. There is an uninterrupted view of the Moray Firth. The apartment is in a newly built extension situated on the beach with its own entrance.
The accommodation, comprises a galley kitchen, large shower room and a sitting/dining room, which can double as another twin bedroom downstairs with TV. Upstairs there is a twin bedded room and a large lounge with full-length windows overlooking the bay.
Fantastic views of the coastline and wildlife without leaving your rooms. About twenty miles of coastline ideal for walking or storm watching or beachcombing, or whatever you fancy.
The Moray Firth Wildlife Centre is 400 metres from the accommodation, it features a gift shop and café and the WDCS have an exhibition on the area’s dolphin population and other wildlife in the area. It is also a great attraction for bird watching as there are a few pairs of Osprey nesting in the area each year. They can be seen plunging into the water from a great height a short distance from the beach.
Elgin is about twelve miles away and has a traditional shopping area on the High street. Fochabers is five miles and the nearest town to Spey Bay, where you can pay a visit to Baxter’s visitors centre; they have an excellent restaurant.
