Address Inverness Taxis, Unit3 5Lotland St., Inverness IVI IST, Scotland, UK
Inverness Taxis is the largest independent taxi firm in the Highlands. Following a number of amalgamations, the company has had many names throughout its history, but was originally setup as Central Taxis over 20 years ago by Gavin Johnson and his wife Samantha. Trading as Highland Taxis until the summer of 2010, the firm’s latest move saw it join forces with Tartan Taxis to become the company it is today.
Employing around 200 locally-based driving and office staff, Inverness Taxis is able to process up to 15,000 calls a week. The company has a large fleet of vehicles, including mini-coaches, eight seaters, executive cars and those with disabled access.
Despite this high demand, Inverness Taxis prides itself on its fast response times. By dispatching vehicles from a variety of locations, the company can respond to customer requests quickly and efficiently. It has a presence at Dalcross Airport, Farraline Bus Park, the Railway Station, Raigmore Hospital and at ranks throughout the city. It also has free-phone lines in many local supermarkets.
Unlike some of our competitors, we have cars situated all around Inverness, everywhere from Dalneigh to Hilton. Cars can take a bit longer to reach clients at peak times, but this system really helps us to provide a fast service.
Although our immediate area is Inverness, we transport passengers anywhere in the UK.
