Argyll & Highland Deliveries
Servicing the Highlands and Islands and Argyll, with over 8,000 parcels for delivery every day, the name AJG Parcels is well known, as are its distinctive yellow and red vans, of which there are over 90 on the road daily.
With many festivals approaches everyyear, AJG Parcels is keen to let everyone in the region know that sending parcels with AJG is simple and reliable.
“The business to business and business to consumer markets always take an upturn at Christmas or any other occasion,” states Fraser MacLean, operations director at AJG Parcels. “However, the fastest growing market in parcels is consumer to consumer, and we want to be able to service this marketplace as effectively as possible.”
AJG Parcels is serving with its website to allow people to book and pay for a collection online, so no more waiting for hours in post office queues, just simply log on, book the collection and a driver will collect the parcels from your home or business address.
AJG Parcels also offers the option of dropping parcels into the depot in Harbour Road and paying to send the goods on arrival. “We allow people to pay cash and send goods with us without having an account, which most of the national carriers don’t allow,” states Fraser.
Goods dropped off before 2pm can achieve a next day service to anywhere in the UK, and goods dropped off before 6.30pm can achieve a next day service to anywhere in Scotland. There is also a premium service offered for parcels needing to be delivered before 9am, 10.30am or noon.
“We offer an excellent service on delivery in the region and are keen to show that we can offer just as good a service when delivering your parcels. If we deliver to you successfully, then it stands to reason that we should be able to deliver for you as well.”
AJG Parcels recently sponsored the North of Scotland cup, and is well known for its sponsorship of Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Ross County. And the firm will be delivering all the toys for the Moray Firth Radio Christmas Toy appeal. “The toy appeal is a challenge every year, and one that we love to assist with, we collect all of the donated gifts from the areas retail outlets and deliver them for free,” says Fraser.
“We are committed to the local area, with 11 depots servicing the Highlands and Islands and Argyll. When customers spend money with AJG Parcels, they are investing in that local infrastructure, and investing in the people employed within it. We really want to prove that we can offer as good a service with the parcels that they send as we do with the parcels that we deliver.”As you visit ‘AJG Parcels’, you may find interest in following listings . . .
