UK construction firm builds highland base
Our team is Highland born and bred and we are very passionate about the area as well as what we do….
The name may be new to the Highlands, but across the UK construction, infrastructure and design industry Morgan Sindall plc has already established an enviable reputation for quality.
That’s because quality is at the very heart of its business – from ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, to maintaining safe working environments, engaging with local communities and fostering sustainable practices.
Morgan Sindall opened its Inverness office in November 2010 at The Greenhouse, Beechwood Business Park and is the third Scottish base for the firm – adding to Livingston and Glasgow.
A northern office was always part of the company’s regional strategic plan, according to area director Neil Duncan.
‘We’ve been winning projects further and further north, including Aberdeen, so it was important to have a presence here. As a company, wherever we have work, we like to have a local team in place.”
Our team is Highland born and bred and we are very passionate about the area as well as what we do.”
Despite the challenging economic climate, Neil is confident there’s plenty of opportunity for the new office. He said: “Although the cuts in the public sector will affect some parts of the construction industry, there is a lot going on in the Highland and Inverness area just now, particularly within the energy and renewables sector and the developments along the East Corridor. We see these as key project areas for us.”
Overall, Morgan Sindall boasts a breadth of industry services capable of meeting the demands of almost any project from £50,000 to £500 million.
As well as covering a wide range of construction activities including offices, manufacturing facilities, schools, hospitals, retail and aviation environments, Morgan Sindall also specialises in infrastructure projects- Infrastructure experience and expertise covers technically demanding projects across the road, bridges, rail, aviation, water, energy and defence sectors- The company also provides a range of specialist capabilities including tunnelling, mechanical and electrical services and high voltage cabling works.
While the breadth of Morgan Sindall’s services and experience has been key to its success, so too has the company’s continuing financial stability- Neil explained that maintaining confidence and providing reassurance within the industry was crucial and had set Morgan Sindall apart from other construction firms.
“During These uncertain times it is important that customers have confidence,” he said.
“Our financial stability makes us a reliable construction partner for our customers. What also differentiates us in the Highlands is our integrated construction and infrastructure team, backed up by a wide range of specialist capabilities nationally to give us the edge.”
“We are an established team in Inverness and we’re here to stay.”
