When you need to reach those hard to reach places safely, Moray First Marine should be your first port of call.
Ideally based in Lossiemouth for operations around Scotland’s coastline, Moray First Marine provides safe, reliable and experienced boat charter and ROV (remotely operated vehicle) services ranging from geophysical and wildlife surveys, personnel transfer and commercial diving support to assisting film makers, and operators in the oil, gas, and renewable sectors.
The business was established in 2000 by skipper Bill Ruck who has 17 years’ ROV experience in the offshore industry including rig support, pipeline survey and construction, and marine operations including maintenance, near shore survey, workboat operations, buoyage emplacement, search and recovery.
Bill was also previously employed as an airborne operator on Nimrod Maritime Patrol aircraft, based at Kinloss, where his extensive training in electronics and acoustics was acquired.
As the name suggests, the company believes in firsts and one of these was to assist offshore wind farm developments, including the Moray Firth Beatrice offshore wind farm, when the renewables industry was very much in its infancy in 2005.
That established track record makes Moray First Marine one of the most experienced operators in the sector.
The business also has an impressive track record in safety having passed with flying colours two IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) audits which stringently test vessels, crews and their procedures.
It is this level of knowledge and experience that sets Moray First Marine apart.
Explained Bill: “All our years of knowledge in the oil and gas industry has come together to make Moray First Marine one of the most experienced operators in the area, and our aim to continue successful operations for many years to come.”
