What is training for new futures?

We run a course for people who:

  • Live in Dundee
  • Are aged 16 or over
  • Are addressing their drug and/or alcohol use
  • Want to make positive changes to their lives
  • Wish to access specific learning support

If you fit into the above group, are unemployed, and would like to learn in a relaxed atmosphere, you can access the course.

Aim of the course:

The aim of the course is to provide training and support for you to:

  • Build on your existing skills and develop new ones
  • Gain job seeking skills
  • Discover new learning opportunities
  • Make plans for the future
  • What can I expect from the course

The course will run for 12 weeks: 3 sessions per week

The course is free

  • We provide transport for you to and from ZONE
  • A maximum of 10 people are in each group
  • We provide individual and group support
  • We will assist you to find appropriate childcare if required
  • A certificate of achievement and attendance

To expand your social circle. The course will also strive to meet the individual needs of each group member and can offer support with a variety of educational and social development needs, such as literacy, numeracy and research skills.
