The Cafe at the Scottish Parliament has a minimalistic and clinical feel with clean lines and contemporary tables. There is a large TV screen present to keep up with the daily news, and the food is designed for every requirement.
A fair balance was evident amongst the selection of dishes. A small proportion of fresh ingredients were apparent and the quality of the commercially bought-in products was satisfactory.
The cafe is located in the main lobby and is for the use of any visitors to the Scottish Parliament. A good place to visit, before or after, your tour of the award-winning building. The cafe has an informal style and offers a range of food, from morning pastries, sandwiches and panini, to hot main meals. The house specialties are the parliament shortbread and homemade scones. All of these are made daily on the premises.
