A spacious well-lit dining area, tastefully tiled floor, authentic wooden furniture and art on the walls, make this ideal surroundings in which to enjoy some of the finest north Indian cuisine. What is unique is the authenticity of its food which is cooked by chefs from north Indian regions. They serve real full-bodied flavours with individual textures screaming out from every dish.
There are a number of exciting and adventurous dishes to sample from its a la carte menu, like bharloan dhingri (fresh mushrooms filled with homemade Indian cheese fried with chopped nuts and spices) or murg maskawala (tandoori chicken cooked in butter, tomato-based gravy with cream with jeera chawal rice).
And it has bagged a hatful of awards – the Best Newcomer by List Magazine in 2004, in 2006 it won an Individual Excellence Award from the Scottish Tourist Board, and the next year it got a Cultural Cuisine Individual Excellence Award. It was also one of Guardian Unlimited Top 10 UK Curry Houses – the only Scottish Indian restaurant to be recognized.
