Anglers’ Rendezvous was established in 1962 and is still run by the McGowan family. Maggie, now head of the family was a former European Ladies Sea Angling Champion and has sea fished all over the world and caught many specimen fish. Ken and Irene are content to be wild Brown Trout fishing in any natural Scottish Loch.
All our staff are knowledgeable anglers and when not selling fishing tackle, most of them can be found on the banks of the River Clyde – fly fishing for Trout or Grayling. Ken Snr, the founder, was instrumental in introducing competition Coarse to the West of Scotland during the 1960s.
We try to supply quality fishing tackle at a fair price and do our best to ensure you leave our shop with fishing tackle we feel suits your purpose.
We are always interested in buying and trading second-hand fishing rods, fishing reels and other fishing gear. Please call in or contact us and we will be happy to discuss a price.
Opening hours
