Alvie Estate –
A Traditional Highland Estate overlooking the Cairngorm hills near the Village of Kincraig, 4 miles south of Aviemore. They have 3 self-catering cottages on the farm, 2 flats in Alvie House, plus chalets and static holiday caravans at Dalraddy Holiday Park. They can cater for shooting and fishing parties, business meetings, training courses, corporate entertainment, weddings and lots more.
Alvie provides an ideal centre from which to explore Scotland, participate in one of the many activities available on the Estate and locally, search for your roots, find out how we make a living in rural Scotland or enjoy the natural environment. They offer a range of activities on site, like Clay Pigeon Shooting, Horse Riding, Off Road Driving, Fishing, Quads and more.
Alvie House & Top Flat Alvie House –
an Edwardian style shooting lodge providing exclusive fully catered accommodation and a venue for business meetings, corporate entertainment, weddings, product launches and film location.
Deer Stalking (Hunting)
Alvie & Dalraddy Estate total 13,000 acres (5261 hectares) of land stretching from the River Spey, northwest over the Monadhliath Mountains to the watershed between the Dulnain and Findhorn rivers. Deer Stalking (hunting) will be accompanied by a professional Stalker who will be responsible for the safety of the stalk. He will decide on the ground to be covered the rifle and ammunition to be used and the deer to be shot. Alvie woodlands provide some of the best deer shelter in the Monadhliath Mountains. Roe buck stalking can take place between 1st May & 20th October.
Grouse & Rough Shooting at Alvie Estate
Alvie moorlands are dedicated to grouse shooting between 12th August and the first week in September. Red grouse, and occasionally blue hare, are in abundance over much of the moorland but population sizes are dependant on winter mortality and breeding success in the spring.
Clay Pigeon Shooting
Enjoy a few hours Clay Pigeon Shooting in beautiful Highland Countryside set in the heart of the Spey Valley, only four miles south of Aviemore. Our Sporting Layout comprises traps for “Down the Line”, “Driven Grouse”, “High Pheasant” and “Springing Teal”.
Fishing by boat or from the bank. Loch Insh provides Fishing for Salmon, Arctic Char, Brown Trout and Pike. Loch Alvie & Loch Beag contain Brown Trout and Pike. In addition there is a Loch stocked with Brown Trout with fishing from the bank.

Quad Bike Treks This superb quad bike trek in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park follows a cross country off road trail which leads across open moorland and along forestry tracks down to the banks of one of Scotland’s most famous salmon fishing rivers, the majestic River Spey.
Dalraddy Holiday Park
There are 3 self catering cottages (Chalets, Static Caravans, Touring Caravans and Camping) on the farm, 2 flats in Alvie House plus chalets and static holiday caravans on Dalraddy Holiday Park.
Dalraddy Holiday Park own your own holiday home overlooking the Cairngorms. Tents, touring caravans and motor homes welcome. Shop on site with essentials plus local crafts, laundrette and children’s playpark.
A quiet family park set in 25 acres of birch woodland with spectacular views of the Cairngorm Mountains range, which now forms part of the Cairngorm National Park. For the physically active there is walking, climbing, skiing, cycling, horse riding, shooting, quads, fishing, golf, gliding and watersports locally.
There are nature reserves, bird reserves and the Highland Wildlife Park within a few miles of Alvie, an Osprey hide at Boat of Garten, a steam railway at Aviemore, Folk museum and Ruthven Barracks in Kingussie, castles at Blair Atholl, Cawdor and Loch an Eilein, an ancient stone circle at Delfour on Alvie Estate and sheep dog displays on Dunachton.
Falconry DisplaysAlvie Estate itself is well worth exploring, guided tours can be arranged as well as falconry displays, whisky tasting, off road driving and archery. Help the keeper feed the red deer in the winter months, watch sheep being clipped in June, visit the fish hatchery, rock quarry or strawberry farm.

- a letting agency for holiday lets in Badenoch and Strathspey.
