Caithness Gymnastics Club

The club is based in Thurso and works with children and teenagers from age 4/5 (as long as they are at school), the oldest member is currently 15 years old. There are over 100 children in the club from all over Caithness.

Caithness Gymnastics Club’s Winter Wonderland

All of the gymnasts – from the youngest performers who are only 4 years old to the more senior members who are 16, took part in the Winter Wonderland Performance.

As usual the performers dazzled, amazed and amused us with their stunning performance. Well done everyone. I must admit to having much admiration for the coaches and helpers who had to deal with 120 nervous performers!

Caithness Gymnasts Perform At GYMFEST 2009

Nine members of Caithness Gymnastics Club Rhythmic Team attended the Scottish National Gymnastics festival for 2009 held in the Magnum Centre, Irvine from the 1st to the 3rd of May. The Caithness team travelled to Irvine in Ayrshire on Friday 1st May to attend the Scottish National Gymnastics festival for 2009. …

The Caithness team of Rhythmic Gymnasts performed a truly breathtaking routine, one of only two Rhythmic teams at the festival, the other coming all the way from Birmingham. Rhythmic Club Coach Diane Gibson said, “The gymnasts were fantastic! They’ve all worked so hard over the last few months and work so well together as a team!” The Gymnasts truly deserved their commemorative medals presented on the last day of the event and are looking forward to the next one. Watch out London, 2012!
