Orkney Connect Project Provide dedicated space and two staff to deliver tailored, personal and skills development and training opportunities for up to 20 young people who have left school with few or no qualifications.

Outdoor Education Richard Croft was appointed as Outdoor Education Adviser in June 2008. Ron Bulmer as Senior Instructor in October 2008. Ron enjoys participating in a large number of outdoor activities and has travelled extensively to take advantage of different locations.

Orkney Field Teacher:

Sue Whitworth as Orkney Field Teacher is available to organise and lead Field Study and environmental education trips. Each year two seasonal instructors are appointed. Workforce Training
The Executive also works with the Scottish Social Services Council to see that the early years and childcare workforce are appropriately qualified, and from 2006, registered to work in the sector.
