There is a Golf Course in Kyle where visitors are welcome. There is a charge of £5.00 for adults, £3.00 for O.A.P.’s and £2.00 for Juniors. On the shoreline, on the edge of moorland, this is a magnificent. Deer may run across the road in front of you! Tight and quite testing meadlowland course, set on the Plock of Kyle, with elevated tees and eight par-3s and the last,a par-4.
The golf course in Kyle was opened in 1930 and covered most of the area called the Plock of Kyle. It was laid out mainly over the peat bog and rock with the smaller greens situated on the harder ground. Take your camera, there are great views to the Isle of Skye. The course fell into disuse until it was reborn in 1985.

Generally the course is quite tight but doesn’t take long to play, although a good stock of balls is a must. The final view from the course is of the island of Skye and when seen at sunset can be breathtaking. The course has been featured in golfing magazines since the 1930’s and players of all standards will appreciate this wee gem.
Restrictions:
Play restricted on summer Saturdays (normally 14.00 – 17.00) to allow for club competitions. No advanced booking is required, although advanced notice from larger parties is appreciated.
