The visitor centre offers a Rail and Maritime Museum, a Malt Whisky Centre, Gift Shop, Film Show, Tea Rooms and Local Tours. After looking round the centre you can take a train trip along the coast to enjoy the wonderful scenery that the area has to offer.
For a small donation of £3.00 you can even join the “Friends of the Kyle Line”. For joining and supporting the “Friends of the Kyle Line” you will receive:
- A certificate of travel and support along with a hand drawn sketch of Kyle Railway Station with the Isle of Skye in the background
- A colourful map of the Kyle Line
- Free entry to our exhibition on the Kyle station platform.
All funds, excluding costs go towards the work of the “Friends of the Kyle Line” and to their promotions company “The Skye and Kyle Railway Development Company”.

Getting Seaprobe Atlantis Glass Bottom Boat Trips By Railway:
From Kyle of Lochalsh railway station follow the coast along in the direction of the Skye Bridge, the Seaprobe is located at the floating wooden pontoons beneath the large Lochalsh hotel, which is clearly indicated; approximately 200 meters from the railway station the pontoons are beside the old ferry concrete slipway and are very prominant, look out for our banner marked Seaprobe Atlantis.
Buses will also get you across the bridge to Skye at Kyle of Lochalsh.
