Glasgow Taxis Ltd was formed in 1997 from a merger of Glasgow’s major taxi companies who individually and collectively had accumulated more than 50 years experience in the Licensed Taxi Industry.
A group of Glasgow Licensed Taxi Operators formed an association back in the 1950’s. These individuals can rightly claim to have laid the foundations of a company who were then, and now, innovative, imaginative and bold.

Ltd has more than 50 years experience in providing taxi services to the community. We are the largest most professional taxi provider in Scotland and the fourth largest in the UK.
Every Driver has been vetted by Strathclyde Police, licensed by Glasgow City Council and has passed a City Council test of his knowledge of the city. Every taxi is roadworthy and rigorously checked twice a year by the council and is guaranteed to be covered by the proper level of insurance.
