An Darach Private Hire Ltd

An Darach Ltd is a small Edinburgh-based family owned company that offers a City of Edinburgh Council licensed private hire taxi service within and out with Edinburgh, able to take clients anywhere in the UK. Using a stylish luxury Volvo V70 automatic estate car (spacious seating for passengers/air con/heated leather seats etc) we are able to provide you with a safe and comfortable chauffeur driven car that is licensed to carry up to 4 persons plus baggage.

We can provide fixed price quotes for any journey but specialise in offering fixed price airport transfers – Edinburgh/Glasgow/Prestwick Airports – or to any UK location if desired. Quotes are available for airport transfers and our rates are very competitive. We are able to meet and greet clients at airports.

We can take groups of up to 4 persons to and from any venue or sporting event such as golfing tournaments, Edinburgh Military Tattoo, festivals, theatre trips, etc. Business or hotel contracts welcomed. Monthly invoicing optional.

We are able to provide chauffeur driven guided sight-seeing tours of Scotland in the comfort of a luxury Volvo V70 estate car. Trips are very much based on customer requirements with a built-in flexibility e.g. from a half-day trip within easy reach of Edinburgh, to a 2 or 3 day trip to the Highlands & Islands.

Gaelic Cultural Tours – Tours of Gaelic cultural interest areas in the Highlands & Islands are available with our Hebridean native Gaelic-speaking driver/guide who is knowledgeable about historical locations, Gaelic place-names, language heartlands, cultural high-spots etc.

On this trip, you can learn some Gaelic, use your existing knowledge of Gaelic, trace your roots etc, during what will be a memorable tour of Scotland’s priceless Gaelic heritage. The duration of trips and pricing is calculated depending on individual customer requirements with a built-in flexibility. Your driver/guide will always be courteous, well-presented and knowledgeable, maintaining a professional standard at all times.

Whisky Trail tours will usually involve a day trip to the Highlands/Speyside and, if desired, could conclude with a memorable dinner at e.g. The Craigellachie Hotel, Craigellachie, which has a vast store of Scottish whiskies on display and available for tasting. Your driver/guide will, of course, not join in any whisky-tasting and will drive you to whatever distilleries you may wish to visit, so that you can enjoy your favourite Uisge Beatha (Water of Life).
