Small, quality driven restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Top quality local and international ingredients, cooked with flair and imagination. Held a Michelin Star for six years in previous location. Much organic produce is evident on the menu with seasonal changes. Everything made on the premises.
We are open for Lunch and Dinner from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive. We seat LUNCH diners on the half hour between 12.00 (12.30 on Tues and Sat.) and 13.30. DINNER guests are seated between 19.00 and 21.00. n.b. We do not turn over tables. (One sitting per table). Even our 19.00 diners have their tables all evening.
From the desk of owner:
Lots of effort is made to maintain a very high culinary standard at the Plumed Horse, which is acknowledged by most of the main guides including Michelin’s Red book I’m proud of my Michelin Star and being the AA Scottish Restaurant of the Year. I’m also very glad to say that our food receives many kind comments on flavours, textures and- aesthetics.
Often diners say “I don’t want to disturb it. It looks too nicer To this I generally quip, “Aw! Get it eaten!”
