The apple is the Celtic tree of regeneration and eternal life.

Apples represent the sun, the source of all life.

The apple is symbolic of love, healing, and immortality and indicate the ability to make choices.

Apple orchards were especially protected as sacred ground.

Apples were offered to the dead and buried at Samhain as food for those waiting to be reborn.

Burn apple blossoms as incense.

Use apple cider in any spells calling for blood or wine.

An old folk spell says to cut an apple into three pieces, then rub the cut side on warts, saying: “Out warts, into apple.” Then bury the pieces, and as the apple decays, the warts will disappear.

Apples make excellent gifts to the spirits.
