Lairg Angling Club

The Lairg Angling Club was founded back in 1960 and has been going strong since then. We are based in the village of Lairg at the mouth of loch shin. Fot more information on how to find us please go to the location part of this site. Loch Shin is one of Scotland’s largest natural lochs sitting in some of the most breath taking scenery in Scotland.

Trout fishing is available on many rivers and hill lochs, with permits normally being available from local shops and hotels. Lairg Angling Club has fishing rights on Loch Shin, and has boats available for hire. The loch it’s self is well stocked with natural brown trout. The club has 15 boats available for daily hire. You can also hire outboards and life jackets for the day if required. Shore permits are available for per day. Yearly memberships are also available, this gives you half price equipment hire and reduced competition fees. We hold around 16 competitions through out the fishing season which runs from mid May through to late September.

Ones to note are the Lairg Gala Week competition and the annual Shin Cup which is followed by a barbeque at the club house. Please explore the site to find out more information and details on what we can offer you for your next fishing trip.
