The Smoo Cave Hotel is named after Smoo Cave which is a very popular tourist attraction of the area. The Hotel is the social centre of Durness, particularly in the winter months when you will find many evening activities.

Frequently have popular Live Music with locals and tourists alike and with well known local artists playing you cannot afford to miss this extremely enjoyable night! You will find a friendly atmosphere and we pride ourselves on our friendly staff at the Smoo Cave Hotel.

We also have traditional bar games to while away those occasional times when the weather is not to your liking!

Accommodation

The Smoo Cave Hotel offers accommodation in the form of Double Room, Twin Room or Family Room. There is also one en-suite room.

Each room has its own Tea and Coffee making facilities, heating and television.
There is private parking in the Hotel’s car park (including room for coaches).
The Hotel can provide secure hanging and storage space for sports equipment.
If you would like to use a cot, please let us know.
A High Chair is available for use.
Pets are allowed.

One of the major charms of Durness area are the wonderful land and seascapes, when you couple these with the incredible sunsets that are often to be seen here, then you can only believe that you must be in heaven! Set in spectacular scenery close to the famous Smoo Cave and Cape Wrath, famous for puffins. Fishing and golfing avaiiable locally.
