Tours are led by actors, who perform in and out of famous taverns and infamous literary pubs. Experience a true living sense of Edinburgh’s great literary history, with its streets and courtyards full of legend and poetry. Walking tours start at the Beehive Inn in the Grassmarket and follow a route through the streets of Old Edinburgh and into the New Town.
This multi-award winning tour was launched in 1996 as a pioneering project in Arts & Tourism. Presented as a dramatic duologue, a hilarious duel of wits ensues performed by professional actors across 300 years of great writing and colourful characters.
