Historic castle set in magnificent grounds and packed with family treasures, weapons, china, furniture and needlework. A full day out.
Based in Blair Atholl, the Atholl Estates Ranger Service operates throughout the Estate. We assist visitors in their understanding and enjoyment of the area, and also play a role in countryside education and conservation. We manage 9 waymarked trails for walkers and cyclists on the estate.
The Ranger Service runs the Atholl Estates Information Centre in Blair Atholl village, close to the gates of Blair Castle Caravan Park. This features a display on the workings of the estate and offers some activities for children. Information on what to do in the area is provided, making the Centre a helpful reference point if you are planning any outdoor activities. The centre is open from 9.00am to 4.45pm daily, between Easter and October.
The ranger service has one full-time ranger and 2 seasonal rangers. These posts are part-funded by Scottish Natural Heritage.
