Commonly known as Bog Cotton, this plant is seen in the summer months in marshy or boggy areas.

Northern Marsh Orchid
These are found at the sides of quiet roads, fields that are not grazed and can also be found on sand dunes.

The Highland Cow
Seen throughout the Highlands of Scotland, this animal is a native to the area. They are normally reddish-brown with long shaggy coats which enable them to winter outside in the severest of weather and curving horns. You can also see Black ones but they are not as common as the reddish brown variety.
