Ramscraigs K9 Services comprises – Ramscraigs Boarding Kennels and Pampered Pets Professional Grooming Service. Everybody leaving Orkney and Caithness by road has to pass the kennels, and if not we operate an excellent delivery and collection service in a fully customised and air conditioned vehicle. If your dog should become ill we have access to 24hr Veterinary cover from DS McGregor and Partners of Wick and Thurso.
At Ramscraigs you can be assured of good, clean, spacious quarters, dog beds, music and best of all a spacious fenced in area with trees and shrubs! What more could a holiday dog ever need! We don’t mind if your dog has long term illness and we are capable of looking after dogs with such illness as, Auto-Immune, Diabetes, Arthritis etc.
We operate from modern buildings which are centrally heated, double glazed, all your dog’s needs are comprehensively catered for. Large grassed exercise area for boarders. All boarding dogs must have current vaccination certificates. This is very important. Without it, your dog will not be allowed to stay.
Should a dog appear unwell during its stay, then there is an isolation pen, with foot-bath for Graham to ensure that no germs are carried from the isolation area to the dog pens.
Bearded Collies are a dog native to Caithness. They were originally tri-coloured but over the years this trait has been bred out of the dogs to provide either blues or browns. Graham’s ambition is to return to the original tri-colour.
Ramscraigs Bearded Collie Pups
Graham’s love of dogs is obvious when you meet Ru the matriarch of the house and her 7 puppies, all Kennel Club Registered and a very happy bunch.
Breeding Ramscraig Bearded Collies has been a hobby for a number of years now and both Ru and Murphy, the stud dog, are prize winners. Ru won a 2nd at Crufts when she was 2 years old! If you are interested in a puppy, then give me a call and see if there are any available.
